Employment Hero is looking for an Australia Payroll Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing Australian payroll for our clients with high accuracy and compliance, while working remotely from the Philippines on an Australian day shift schedule. You'll deliver excellent service and build trusted, long-term relationships.
What You'll Do
- Process and review payroll for Australian businesses with 100% accuracy.
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure their timely submission.
- Assist clients with payroll queries, adjustments, and compliance issues.
- Work closely with payroll partners and clients to ensure a seamless payroll experience.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and become their trusted payroll advisor.
- Identify and report any risks, errors, or compliance concerns related to payroll processing.
- Follow information security guidelines to protect sensitive payroll data.
What We're Looking For
- 1-4 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or finance.
- Hands-on experience with Australian payroll (this is a must-have).
- Familiarity with Fair Work, superannuation, tax, and other Australian payroll regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to 100% accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service mindset — approachable, helpful, and solutions-oriented.
- Proficient in Excel and able to work with payroll data confidently.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first, global environment.
- Open to continuous learning and professional development.
