Etsy is seeking an Audience & Signals Specialist with a focus on Google and App Support to join the Customer Personalization & Intelligence team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in performance marketing, app-install campaigns, and ad operations. You will thrive at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, supporting audience and signal strategies across Google Ads, SEM, and app campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Build, activate, and orchestrate audiences across major ad platforms (Google, App Install Campaigns) in partnership with media planners and an in-house growth marketing team.
- Improve campaign strategy & personalization by translating marketing goals into effective audience strategies.
- Lead testing, QA, and performance analysis of audiences to improve accuracy and campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and MarTech to ensure quality signals are being collected and used for ad campaign optimization and attribution.
- Support signal improvements and help troubleshoot signal integrity and platform discrepancies, with an emphasis on SEM/PLA and App Install campaigns.
- Assess the interplay between signal optimization & audience performance.
- Collaborate with Platform partners to capture requirements & specs for new signal integrations.
- Partner with Brand & Growth Marketing, Product, and Data Science teams to plan and implement key advertising initiatives.
- Assist with agency coordination and ensure effective knowledge transfer and efficient audience use.
- Support the team in staying in sync with global policies & regulations (e.g. ATT, GDPR, CCPA) to protect Etsy’s & its users’ data.
- Support Privacy Enhancing Technology use cases.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with SEM, PLA, PPC campaigns, and app-install strategies.
- Experience building and maintaining campaigns within Google Ads, DV360, and ad servers.
- Familiarity with Mobile Measurement Providers (e.g., AppsFlyer).
- Ability to read and apply basic SQL queries to validate data and signals.
- Knowledge of performance marketing, growth marketing, and app marketing best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills with both technical and marketing partners.
- A strong desire to learn!
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, VBA, or a backend programming language.
- Certifications in advertising or analytics solutions (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Exposure to clean rooms or other privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), such as Mobile Measurement Providers (MMPs, like AppsFlyer).
- Understanding of two-sided marketplaces and the value of user segmentation.
- Understanding of MTA & MMM or other ad measurement methodologies.
- Understanding of Machine Learning principles & use cases is a plus.
- Familiarity with data visualization & dashboarding tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
