Moog is hiring an A&T Technician II - Coil Assembly - 1st Shift

About the Role

Moog is seeking an A&T Technician II for its Coil Assembly operation on the 1st Shift. In this role, you will perform solenoid assembly, testing, and process-based operations on complex solenoid components and assemblies, supporting new production, repair, and overhaul activities.

What You'll Do

  • Perform assembly, testing, and process operations on complex solenoid components for new production, repair, and overhaul.
  • Use a variety of mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging, and torque mechanisms.
  • Work from drawings, work instructions, and parts lists, communicating performance results and situational circumstances.
  • Set up and perform operational tests on high-precision test stands using pneumatic and electronic test equipment.
  • Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to recommend rework instructions and configuration changes.
  • Perform daily administrative responsibilities to support overall operations.
  • May travel to customer facilities or other Moog locations to support hardware.
  • May work off-shift hours for short periods to accommodate customer delivery schedules.

What We're Looking For

  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred. Alternatively, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple math.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a technical field.

Nice to Have

  • Coil winding fabrication experience.
  • Manual or CNC coil winding experience.
  • J-Std solder and space addendum certification.
  • Experience with soldering magnet wire and lead wire.
  • Experience weighing, measuring, and mixing coil encapsulant.
  • Experience with visual and functional inspection of completed coil assemblies.
  • Experience packaging various solenoid assemblies and components.
