Support the bar team on board Astoria Grande vessels, delivering consistent and efficient beverage service across multiple onboard venues including lounges, dining spaces, and open decks. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of guest experience while operating in dynamic maritime environments across the Black, Aegean, Marmara, and Mediterranean Seas.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing daily bar operations, ensuring proper setup, stock levels, and mise-en-place according to company standards.
- Support budgetary and service goals by monitoring inventory, verifying guest signatures on bar checks, and preparing accurate sales reports at the end of each shift and voyage.
- Maintain par levels for glassware, silverware, linens, and beverage supplies by following company ordering procedures.
- Operate POS systems and generate reports to support financial tracking and reconciliation.
- Communicate regularly with bar management about equipment needs, maintenance issues, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Promote teamwork across hotel, deck, and technical departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Ensure all beverage operations meet company quality benchmarks and contribute to overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in food and beverage service within upscale hotels or cruise environments, including at least three years in a bartending role.
- Fluency in Russian is required; intermediate English proficiency is necessary, with higher fluency expected for supervisory responsibilities.
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible for recruitment from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, or Kyrgyzstan.
- Valid STCW certification and a seafarer’s passport or identity card are mandatory.
- Intermediate proficiency with computer software and POS management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, solve problems effectively, and maintain composure in fast-paced settings.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on personalized guest experiences.
