The University of Wyoming invites applications for an Associate Professor to serve as the MSW Program Director. This is a 9-month, full-time tenure-track position with an additional summer administrative month. You will provide leadership for the Master of Social Work program, teach, conduct research, and engage in service within a division committed to human rights and human dignity.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative leadership for the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program.
- Teach a range of MSW classes across curricula, including evening and scheduled intensive weekend classes.
- Engage in research and scholarship.
- Perform University and community service.
- Manage student recruitment, admission, and advisement for the MSW program.
- Provide curriculum leadership.
- Travel within the state, primarily to the UW-Casper campus, and teach using distance delivery systems.
What We're Looking For
- Earned Ph.D. in social work or a closely related field.
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
- Five years of post-MSW practice experience.
- Evidence of leadership experiences.
- Strong record of research to warrant appointment at the associate rank.
- Record of teaching in a social work program.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university policy.
- Ability and willingness to teach during evening classes and scheduled intensive weekend sessions.
Nice to Have
- Record of teaching in an MSW Program.
- Experience in a generalist/advanced generalist social work program.
- Prior academic administrative experience at the university level.
- Experience with online teaching and/or distance education programs.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of CSWE accreditation standards and processes.
