About the Role

The University of Wyoming invites applications for an Associate Professor to serve as the MSW Program Director. This is a 9-month, full-time tenure-track position with an additional summer administrative month. You will provide leadership for the Master of Social Work program, teach, conduct research, and engage in service within a division committed to human rights and human dignity.

What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative leadership for the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program.
  • Teach a range of MSW classes across curricula, including evening and scheduled intensive weekend classes.
  • Engage in research and scholarship.
  • Perform University and community service.
  • Manage student recruitment, admission, and advisement for the MSW program.
  • Provide curriculum leadership.
  • Travel within the state, primarily to the UW-Casper campus, and teach using distance delivery systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Earned Ph.D. in social work or a closely related field.
  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Five years of post-MSW practice experience.
  • Evidence of leadership experiences.
  • Strong record of research to warrant appointment at the associate rank.
  • Record of teaching in a social work program.
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university policy.
  • Ability and willingness to teach during evening classes and scheduled intensive weekend sessions.

Nice to Have

  • Record of teaching in an MSW Program.
  • Experience in a generalist/advanced generalist social work program.
  • Prior academic administrative experience at the university level.
  • Experience with online teaching and/or distance education programs.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of CSWE accreditation standards and processes.
