Role Overview: As an Associate Paralegal specializing in Privacy, you'll support our global data privacy infrastructure, ensuring lawful, transparent, and consistent handling of user and customer data. Your responsibilities will involve managing complex data subject requests, responding to governmental and legal inquiries, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Support, Legal, Security, and Engineering. Key Projects: - Handling non-standard data subject request responses - Reviewing vendor processing agreements for compliance Responsibilities: - Collaborate with support engineers to draft consistent responses to data subject requests under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations - Coordinate timely and accurate responses to government and law enforcement data requests - Review vendor data processing agreements, identifying potential privacy risks - Follow established privacy playbooks and procedures - Monitor global privacy law developments - Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy requirements - Maintain detailed records of privacy-related activities Qualifications: - Experience in privacy compliance, data protection, or legal operations within technology/software environments - Understanding of global privacy frameworks like GDPR and CCPA - Familiarity with privacy management platforms - Basic data security concept knowledge - Strong ability to interpret and follow detailed procedures - Exceptional organizational and communication skills - Openness to learning and adapting in a distributed work environment Team Context: The Privacy team within Legal supports global data privacy compliance and governance.
