Wizards of the Coast (Skeleton Key studio) is looking for an Associate Manager, Category Licensing. In this role, you will implement licensing strategies, manage business development, and grow the existing licensing business for assigned categories and brands. You'll be responsible for product development, retail and marketing support, and collaborating with global and regional teams.
What You'll Do
- Implement licensing strategies for assigned categories and brands across product, channel/retail, and marketing to deliver on goals.
- Identify and exploit new business opportunities and potential licensees.
- Pitch to and recruit new partners for your responsible categories.
- Manage and grow existing licensing business.
- Work with licensees to develop annual business plans aligned with licensing strategies.
- Monitor licensee performance and provide business direction to enhance results.
- Manage new business and renewal processes.
- Negotiate and conclude business deals with licensees.
- Prepare business proposals for approval and coordinate with Legal on contract approval.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely handling of payments, invoices, royalty reports, and projections.
- Ensure product availability in key market channels for responsible categories and brands.
- Ensure updated design and brand materials are shared with all licensees.
- Work with licensees to prepare product development plans.
- Catch market trends and conduct retail research.
- Inspire licensees to develop eye-catching products to refresh the retail market.
- Work with Licensees and the Retail Team to develop and implement channel/retail development plans.
- Develop growth strategies for key retailers/channels and establish financial and retail goals.
- Work with Licensees to develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Support and implement programs with the global/regional & local brand team, retail development teams, and peers.

- Financial acumen for managing contracts, royalties, and business projections.
