Illumina, Inc. is looking for an Associate Events Specialist to join our team in Berlin, Germany. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how the Illumina brand shows up across regional markets. You will own the planning, delivery, and optimization of both face-to-face and virtual events, ensuring alignment with our global brand standards while making a tangible impact on human health through genomics.
What You'll Do
- Plan, manage, and execute regional events aligned with Illumina’s strategic priorities.
- Deliver all aspects of tradeshows and Illumina-hosted events, covering pre-event preparation, onsite delivery, and post-event follow-up.
- Localise event content while ensuring alignment with global brand guidance.
- Partner with Digital Specialists to develop and coordinate digital event assets.
- Provide expertise to sales teams and marketing stakeholders on event strategy, execution best practices, and available tools.
- Work closely with the internal creative lab, regional programme managers, and sub-regional marketing partners to align on content and messaging.
- Manage event vendors and ensure compliance with governance and vendor-management guidelines.
- Coordinate logistics for external presenters, partners, and Illumina staff.
- Oversee all procurement, budgeting, and invoicing associated with events.
- Capture relevant event data in appropriate systems.
- Track and upload lead data, reporting on performance and event outcomes.
- Analyse events to inform continuous improvement.

- A skilled organiser with experience delivering high-quality events and managing varied priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, from content localisation to vendor management.
- Strong understanding of best practices in event strategy and execution.
- Ability to gather, track, and interpret event data to refine planning and demonstrate impact.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.

- A background in marketing, communications, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
