About the Role

Eli Lilly Canada is seeking an Associate Director – Corporate Engineering Services to provide leadership and overall responsibility for a team of 10-12 engineers and staff. You will ensure team safety, performance, and development while managing engineering standards for corporate functions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead HR processes including performance management, compensation, talent assessment, recruiting, and succession planning for a team of 10-12 individuals.
  • Coach and develop team members and support diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Support the Engineering Tech Center team strategy, business planning, and team building.
  • Own and manage engineering standards, master specifications, and best practices for civil, electrical, and loss prevention engineering.
  • Sponsor communities of practice for these engineering disciplines across Lilly.
  • Provide technical coaching and mentoring to Lilly engineers and document learnings.
  • Facilitate shared learning forums such as conferences and user groups.
  • Support capital project delivery by resourcing key subject matter experts.
  • Monitor and act on key performance metrics for team performance on project delivery goals.
  • Monitor external industry trends for equipment, system, and digital technologies.
  • Manage business results, compliance, productivity improvement, and customer service for the team.
  • Streamline processes and prioritize work.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or related functional areas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design and project delivery methodologies and experience executing those strategies on capital projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership in an engineering field.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge in conduct of key engineering principles within the civil/structural discipline, electrical power discipline, and loss prevention discipline.
  • Knowledge of project management and vendor management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in capital project delivery.
  • Knowledge of document management programs and processes, including supporting software packages.
  • cGMP Regulatory knowledge.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of 10-12 Lilly engineers and staff, plus additional external contingent workers when needed. The team spans multiple engineering disciplines, including civil engineers, loss prevention engineers, power/electrical engineers, document control for corporate engineering, and engineering document management programs.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $118,500 - $191,400
  • Eligibility for company bonus (depending on company and individual performance)

Work Mode

This role requires an onsite work mode.
