HSBC Group is hiring an Associate Director to join the Institutional Client Group (ICG) team in Japan. In this role, you will be central to driving the business growth strategy and managing portfolio risk, supporting the wider Institutional Client franchise.

What You'll Do

Develop a thorough understanding of the client base.
Drive revenue growth across the Japan Financial Institutional client portfolio and International Financial Institution clients investing into Japan.
Define and implement client plans.
Liaise with regional counterparts and act as the central point of contact for local matters.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product partners.
Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures.
Act as the First Line of Defence to protect HSBC against Financial Crime and ensure credit risk arising from client relationships is proactively managed.

What We're Looking For

Knowledge of the industry and exposure to Japan's financial industry, local and global institutional client markets, and the regulatory environment.
Knowledge of banking, markets, and securities services products.
Advanced understanding of risk management, risk mitigation, and Client Due Diligence risks.
Excellent team player with a proactive approach and strong interpersonal, sales, and communication skills.
High motivation, eagerness to accept new challenges, and ability to work under pressure.
The ability to form effective relationships and exercise influence at the most senior level of the organization, both internally and externally.
A strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation.
