Disney Streaming Services is hiring an Associate Data Scientist to join the Direct to Consumer Content and Product Data Science team. You will transform complex data into strategic business decisions that shape the future of streaming entertainment. Your models will directly optimize content and subscriber experiences for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Apply machine learning and statistical analysis to develop models for opportunity sizing, targeting, and optimization.
- Analyze user behavioral data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create a common understanding of user interaction.
- Develop prototype solutions, mathematical models, algorithms, and robust analytics leading to impactful, clearly communicated insights.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities.
- Partner with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, visualization, experimentation, and architecture.
What We're Looking For
- Experience developing machine learning models and performing statistical analysis.
- Deep understanding of machine learning concepts and statistical methods.
- Ability to draw insights from data to inform model development and business decisions.
- Desire to collaborate with other data scientists, analysts, and key business partners.
- Proficient in analyzing data and developing ML models using Python with frameworks like tensorflow and scikit-learn.
- Capable of reading and writing Object-Oriented code to review and implement modeling pipelines like Airflow or Luigi.
- Understanding of SQL and distributed data technologies like Hive and Spark.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Bayesian modeling.
- Experience fully integrating data science solutions into the business and operationalizing ML models.

Benefits & Compensation
- Medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
- Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided.
- Compensation range: $95,300 - $127,800.
Work Mode
This role is onsite. Locations include Santa Monica, CA; USA - CA - 1200 Grand Central Ave; USA - CA - Market St; USA - NY - 7 Hudson Square.
