The University of Southern California (USC) is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst II to participate in the production of operational, financial, and market intelligence data. You will discover and query data repositories, apply qualitative and quantitative techniques, and deliver substantiated recommendations to support university initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Formulate analysis plans and design questionnaires, tests, or research guides to ensure necessary data capture.
- Collect research data from internal sources, industry reports, public information, and purchased sources.
- Conduct analysis using traditional research methods, including statistical techniques, and prepare forecasts.
- Author reports containing valid conclusions and actionable recommendations for stakeholder review.
- Cooperate in the maintenance of business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, and systems.
- Provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the business intelligence discipline.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of business intelligence experience.
- Full competency in SQL.
- Proven ability to design research plans, interpret data, and deliver actionable insights.
- Skilled in BI tools and dashboard development to support strategic decision-making.
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders and leadership.
- Customer-centric mindset with enjoyment in working support tickets and with requestors.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with Snowflake and SAS platforms for data analysis and reporting.

- Salary range: $78,220.00 - $91,894.40
