Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel (Contract)

About the Role

The Contract Associate Corporate Counsel will provide legal support to the research and development team, focusing on intellectual property, contracts, and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on intellectual property strategies and transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of agreements.
  • Manage legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal issues.
  • Provide legal support for research and development projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
  • Manage outside counsel and external legal service providers.
  • Assist in the development of legal strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure the protection of the company's intellectual property portfolio.
  • Advise on data privacy and cybersecurity matters.
  • Support the development of legal training programs and materials.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate governance and compliance issues.
  • Assist in the management of legal disputes and litigation.
  • Support the development of legal budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide legal support for mergers and acquisitions activities.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Support the development of legal risk management strategies.
  • Provide legal advice on employment and labor law matters.
  • Assist in the development of legal policies and procedures for research and development.
  • Support the development of legal strategies for intellectual property protection.
  • Provide legal advice on environmental and sustainability matters.
  • Assist in the development of legal strategies for data protection and privacy.
  • Provide legal support for international research and development projects.
