Compass Group Careers is looking for an Associate Consultant to join our team. This role supports the design phase of technology consulting projects under the direction of senior team members. You'll be part of a group of passionate, creative thinkers dedicated to building lasting relationships and finding innovative answers for clients.
What You'll Do
- Support design-phase coordination by completing assigned internal deliverables and inputs under senior team direction.
- Incorporate documented project requirements, decisions, and dependencies into assigned work products.
- Contribute to meeting preparation through accurate documentation, updates, and supporting materials.
- Escalate obvious gaps, inconsistencies, or questions encountered during assigned work to senior team members.
- Build productive working relationships through clear written communication and a hospitality-forward approach.
- Support senior team members by executing assigned design-phase tasks, including technical documentation, product research, and QA reviews.
- Draft and maintain project documentation, including program reports, design narratives, and specifications.
- Assist with coordination of AV and communications infrastructure requirements with related low-voltage systems.
- Participate in internal and cross-discipline design reviews by preparing materials and documenting feedback.
- Participate in QA reviews of design deliverables and support construction coordination activities.
- Support site observations and verifications by documenting conditions and assisting with follow-up.
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base by accurately documenting lessons learned and sharing technical observations.
- Support established design-phase consulting workflows by executing assigned tasks consistently.
- Identify and communicate basic inefficiencies, documentation gaps, or recurring issues.
- Develop foundational knowledge in AV, Telecom, and Acoustics.
- Achieve AVIXA CTS certification within the first year of employment.
- Travel up to 25% locally, domestically, and occasionally internationally for meetings and project support.
- Ensure responsible use of web-based AI tools, with a strong understanding of data protection and privacy best practices.
What We're Looking For
- One to two years of related professional experience in building engineering and design, or equivalent education.
- A two-year or higher degree in a relevant technical field.
- Fundamental understanding of project management principles and design and construction processes.
- A general understanding of commercial and institutional AV technology applications and operations.
- A suitable environment for audio and video calls, as remote work is anticipated when not traveling.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and relevant AI tools.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics in a business environment.
- Commitment to relevant ongoing professional development and technical training.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables and shift priorities as necessary.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to absorb and understand written business communication and respond professionally and hospitably.
Nice to Have
- A four-year degree.
- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) professional certification, or commitment to achieve it within 12 months.
- Knowledge of AV signal management and integrated control systems.
- Experience with data networking.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $72,000 to $76,500
Work Mode
