Motion Industries is hiring an Assistant Site Manager to provide management support at a company-owned Integrated Business Solutions (IBS) location. In this role, you will help develop quality personnel, set high performance standards, and ensure operational efficiency while fostering positive relationships with customers and staff.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Site Manager ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation items are handled per policy.
- Ensure overall cleanliness of the site, stock room, and outside areas.
- Utilize proper processes and procedures to minimize inventory shrinkage.
- Ensure merchandise is received and put away in the stockroom in a timely and accurate manner.
- Bar code inventory and place it in appropriate bin locations.
- Return non-company excess inventory.
- Create a safe work environment, ensuring required hazmat training is completed timely.
- Respond in a timely manner to customer purchase and service questions.
- Understand, interpret, and comply with all contract requirements and ensure the operation meets customer expectations.
- Work closely with company and customer management to develop strategies ensuring the overall value of the IBS program.
- Maintain and develop local non-NAPA vendor relationships.
- Build relationships and assist with negotiation of non-company vendors on pricing, inventory, service, and return privileges.
- Source all parts needs for customers by utilizing various approved IBS vendors.
- Ensure performance against service level goals per IBS customer agreements.
- Understand and maintain the TAMS buy-out PO process.
- Ensure the site is using approved non-company line codes appropriately.
- Follow all IBS policies and procedures.
- Complete all available IBS operations training provided by the company.
- Perform any task as assigned by the Site Manager.
What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certified within twelve months.
- Ability to manage two or more people, prioritize, and delegate to team members.
- Strong communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership in the automotive after-market industry.
- Possess working knowledge of the organization's store services.
- Must possess high character and integrity.
- Capable of providing strong leadership to create a high performance team.
- Possess personal drive, self-motivation and initiative to accomplish Company goals.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and possess an ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Insure proper maintenance and protection of Company store facilities, equipment, inventory and assets.
- Have a willingness and ability to learn.
- Possess analytical problem solving skills.
- Capable of operating a point-of-sale system and cataloging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and using internet for parts research and sourcing.
- Ability to learn and use customer fleet management software.
Nice to Have
- Technical school, and/or college degree a plus.
- Experience in an automotive parts department, dealership, jobber, heavy duty and/or fleet establishment.

Compensation
The compensation for this position is $29.00 per hour.
