Cushman & Wakefield Global, Inc., is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, with a specific focus on QA/QC.
What You'll Do
- Monitor progress of work with respect to the Master project schedule.
- Monitor the execution of work at site to ensure alignment to drawings and specifications.
- Provide timely reminders to all contractors about delays in schedule.
- Ensure workability and adherence to standards in work statements and methodologies submitted by contractors.
- Be responsible for all site work related documentation for assigned items of work.
- Anticipate and flag imminent bottlenecks; take steps to avoid delays.
- Furnish necessary reports of critical and super critical activities to the client.
- Advise contractors in enhancing resource productivity by implementing various work study techniques.
- Monitor procurement of materials, equipment, and labour by contractors against the schedule and advise suitable measures for improvement.
- Administer all contracts and assist in resolution of differences and disputes arising during contract duration.
- Assist the QA/QC lead in ensuring all quality parameters are met.
- Assist the safety team in implementing safety standards at site; provide support for job safety analysis.
- Escalate to the Project Manager about all abnormal developments with respect to progress, safety, quality, and resources.
- Clarify specifications and continuously liaise with the accountable internal Project Manager.
- Monitor construction activity, schedule, milestones, and adherence to budgets; initiate actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
- Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change orders.
- Manage the project’s risk management process.
- Implement systems requirements in the Contractor's installation and test plans through detailed planning until final takeover.
- Ensure project construction and safety management plans are fully implemented.
What We're Looking For
- B.E. Civil degree with 5 to 10 years of experience in buildings.
- Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
