What You'll Do
Support the planning and execution of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) projects by contributing to system designs and technical specifications. You'll interpret construction drawings for commercial and laboratory facilities to identify key details needed for metering equipment setups.
Use AutoCAD and standardized CAD templates to generate and update technical diagrams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals. Assist in maintaining project records, preparing reports, and refining internal workflows to improve communication and handoffs between teams.
Engage with cross-functional groups within the department to understand project requirements and contribute to successful implementation. This role includes opportunities to participate in fieldwork and gain firsthand insight into utility metering operations.
Requirements
Familiarity with AutoCAD and technical drawing practices is essential. You should be able to read and extract data from engineering construction documents and adapt designs based on project needs. Experience with AMI systems or utility infrastructure is beneficial but not required.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn across technical and operational areas. You must be comfortable working onsite and interacting with various teams to support project objectives.
