Holiday Inn Club Vacations is looking for an Assistant General Manager II to provide leadership in our daily resort operations. You will coordinate and supervise all aspects of the business, focusing on building exceptional teams and ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Build and influence an exceptional team through targeted selection, hiring, training, involvement, and recognition.
- Lead a diverse and engaged workforce promoting a positive work environment and meet or exceed employee engagement targets.
- Mentor, motivate, recognize, coach, and counsel direct reports and team members, promoting leadership empowerment and development.
- Administer necessary coaching forms, corrective actions, performance reviews, and action plans.
- Assist in driving memorable vacation experiences focusing on the guest journey, ensuring high guest satisfaction through engagement.
- Set positive guest interaction examples; assess guest service surveys and trends; and follow through on all guest issues.
- Meet or exceed brand and department performance standards, goals, and expectations.
- Ensure brand compliance, hours of operation, and activity schedules meet business standards and guest needs for F&B, retail, and activities where present.
- Manage risk by promoting a culture of safety and demonstrating a commitment to employee and guest safety through company programs.
- Participate in Green Engage and other sustainable programs to reduce our environmental footprint.
- Assist in managing HOA, Retail, and/or Developer operating and reserve financials to meet or exceed goals.
- Monitor and effectively manage controllables including payroll, inventory, and product, refining controls and compliance plans.
- Influence, build, and maintain positive and professional internal and external business relationships.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of experience in Resort Operations, hotel/motel/timeshare/resort, or a related industry, with three to five years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated leadership, thoughtful decision-making, effective communication, accountability, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence and maintain positive business relationships.
- Strong comprehension of operation and retail budget and reserve development, compliance, inventory purchasing control, contract negotiation, renovation schedules, and annual unit maintenance.
- Strong focus on leading others, growing and developing a high-performance team, and inspiring a culture of excellence.
- Full understanding and compliance of our Brand Standards.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and minimum of 4 years of driving experience.
- No Type A violations in the last three years (DWI, DUI, reckless driving, felony, etc.).
- No more than two Type B moving violations in the last three years (speeding, improper lane change, etc.).
- No more than one at-fault accident within the last three years, and not both a Type B violation and an at-fault accident within three years.
- Ability to effectively write and speak English.
Nice to Have
- 4-Year College Degree.
- CPR certification (should obtain within the first 90 days of employment).
- Hotel/motel/resort/management certifications.
- Serve-Safe or TIPS certification where alcohol is served or sold.
Team & Environment
Provides support in conjunction with the General Manager in the leadership of the daily operations of the resort. Reports to the General Manager.
