About the Role

Lockheed Martin Canada is hiring an Assistant Engineer in Systems Integration and Analysis for its Naval Combat Systems programs in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on innovative infrastructure environments.

What You'll Do

  • Define requirements for the development and integration laboratory regarding design and implementation.
  • Create and update documentation to support the design and implementation of laboratory and development environments.
  • Select appropriate hardware to meet laboratory and development environment requirements.
  • Perform multidisciplinary assessments of laboratory environments relative to current and future use.
  • Support proposal capture activities and participate in the full engineering lifecycle, including specification, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and field troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of facility design and/or building infrastructure modification and collaboration with contractors for design implementation.
  • Zero to two years of relevant professional experience in computer hardware engineering; any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff from engineering and management teams.
  • Ability to solve difficult problems within a team environment.
  • A high degree of initiative, autonomy, learning capacity, and adaptability within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with computer hardware lifecycle or maintenance engineering.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), SharePoint, Visio, or Windchill.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in areas such as: Change Management, Requirements Management, Testing and Trials, Safety and Security, EMI/EMC, Environmental Qualification, use of hand tools/power tools/multimeters/network verification devices, the military naval domain, sensor/weapon/ship integration, computer components and technologies, networking components and technologies, or naval combat systems integration environments.
