Arup is looking for an Assistant Civil & Structures Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to the delivery of sustainable and innovative rail infrastructure projects across Singapore and the Southeast Asia region. In this role, you will support civil and structural design, analysis, and construction-stage activities across the full project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Carry out hands-on structural design for rail and infrastructure projects, including underground structures.
- Prepare structural design calculations in accordance with Eurocode standards and relevant Singapore design requirements.
- Produce technical reports, design documentation, and project-related correspondence.
- Coordinate structural design activities with architects and engineers from other disciplines.
- Support project teams with design development and provide assistance with additional project-related tasks.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
- At least 1 year of structural design experience, ideally within MRT, railway, or major transportation infrastructure projects in Singapore.
- Familiarity with Singapore structural design codes and Land Transport Authority (LTA) requirements and submission processes.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ROBOT, SAFE, or similar finite element tools.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
