ju:niz Energy GmbH is looking for an Asset Operations Manager (gn) BESS to be responsible for the remote monitoring and support of our battery storage systems. You will join the Operations team to manage technical incidents and coordinate maintenance to ensure asset performance and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Take full responsibility for the remote monitoring and support of assigned battery storage assets.
- Resolve tickets escalated from First Level Support or the Control Room at a second level until full resolution.
- Escalate disturbances and system faults to third level support or manufacturers.
- Act as the technical Single Point of Contact for all internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and customers.
- Coordinate on-site repairs with Field Service Engineers or service partners during critical system states.
- Remotely control technical systems, especially during on-site service activities.
- Maintain complete, traceable, and audit-proof documentation in the ticket system.
- Collaborate closely with the Control Room, maintenance planning, the Commercial Team, and energy marketers.
- Ensure adherence to and tracking of maintenance concepts and organize spare parts shipments.
- Create technical monthly reports for the continuous improvement of plant availability.
- Contribute knowledge to the handover process of projects from the delivery phase into operational service.
- In exceptional cases, provide on-call duty for critical emergency cases outside regular working hours.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering (focus on renewable energy) OR a technical apprenticeship as an electrician, electronics technician, or similar.
- Several years of experience in the service, maintenance, or operation of electrical plants (e.g., battery storage, photovoltaics, grid operations).
- An analytical and meticulous working style for evaluating disturbances, recognizing error patterns, and developing solutions.
- Strong service orientation with a focus on fast, high-quality troubleshooting.
- Professional and de-escalating communication style with experience in customer management.
- Enthusiasm for battery storage systems and enjoyment of deep technical problem-solving.
- Experience in invoice verification and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Frustration tolerance for the daily support routine.
- Team player who enjoys intensive, cross-departmental collaboration in an international environment.
- Very good skills in common office software (e.g., MS365) and ticket systems (e.g., Jira & Confluence).
- Very good German and good English skills.
