RES was looking for an Asset Manager

Lead the performance, compliance, and client success of photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Australia. This role is central to delivering high standards in asset operations, ensuring regulatory alignment, and maintaining strong client partnerships throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple Asset Management Agreements, focusing on operational performance, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans, manage risk registers, and supervise day-to-day operations including maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO, AER, and CER through auditable, structured processes.
  • Coordinate defect management, contract compliance, budget tracking, and accurate reporting across projects.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, landowners, community representatives, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and timely financial obligations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and lead by example in risk-informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of three years in asset management, with exposure to early-stage renewable energy operations.
  • Proven ability in client and stakeholder engagement, contract oversight, and contractor coordination.
  • Solid understanding of the commercial and technical aspects of renewable energy and the National Electricity Market (NEM).
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.
  • Extensive background managing contracts and third-party service providers.
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Law, or Finance; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Work Environment

This position operates under a hybrid model, requiring three days per week in one of the following offices: Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.
