Allstate is looking for an Assess Repair (Total Loss) Adjuster to deliver superior customer service in handling vehicle repair claims. You will be responsible for virtually inspecting damage, writing repair estimates, completing total loss valuations, and guiding customers through the process. What You'll Do
- Virtually inspect damage to vehicles including automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, and RVs.
- Write damage repair estimates and complete total loss valuations.
- Negotiate moderately complex and occasionally complex settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, and customers.
- Estimate repair times for rental and loss of use.
- Work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage your own workload.
- Explain coverage, estimates, claims, settlement, and rental processes to agents and/or customers.
- Investigate claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process.
- Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
- Utilize estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to process claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the claims system.
What We're Looking For
- Must obtain an adjuster’s and appraiser’s license based on state-specific requirements within 60 days of hire.
- Must maintain all licensing required for the role, including continuing education.
- Must have a dedicated, private, distraction-free workspace in residence.
- Must have a minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up.
- Must be located in the United States (position not available for California, Alaska, and Hawaii residents).
Nice to Have
- 18 months or more of Auto Collision estimating in CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell.
- Previous experience in total loss adjustment or a related field.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and valuation tools for virtual assessments.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate moderate to complex vehicle damages effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact remotely.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.
