Havis, Inc. is looking for an Assembler to join our Computing 2nd Shift team. This role involves assembling a range of manufactured products according to detailed blueprints, work orders, and instructions. You will be a key contributor on the shop floor, ensuring our vehicle accessories meet precise specifications before moving to our shipping department.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to assemble products accurately.
- Assemble manufactured products in a timely manner as defined by the production schedule.
- Use hand tools including torque-controlled electric drills, wrenches, torque wrenches, and an auto screw feeder.
- Set up daily work according to the production schedule or verbal instructions.
- Collect parts from inventory as needed, and receive direction on the priority of orders.
- Group and package finished products with packing lists for the shipping department.
- Operate packaging equipment such as a paper machine, hand sealer, bubble machine, tape machine, and tape gun.
- Label finished products and complete all required paperwork.
- Perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products.
- Utilize quality assurance tools like the Vision System, Inspection Tracker, and Quality Tracker to ensure product standards.
- Maintain a clean work area and participate in facility maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and ESD protection standards.
- Participate in training sessions, team activities, and our continuous improvement process.
- Work at different workstations and cross-train to support other assembly departments as required.

What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical inclination and experience using basic hand tools.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and use computer applications.
- A strong attention to detail is essential.
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and perform activities including bending, stretching, and climbing.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Nice to Have
- A technical certification.
- General knowledge of workplace safety and ESD controls.
- General knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001.
Team & Environment
This position reports directly to the Supervisor of the Assembly department.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
