Terumo Neuro is seeking an Assembler I to join our manufacturing team in Alajuela, Costa Rica. In this role, you will execute the assembly or sub-assembly of medical devices and products under close supervision, following precise manufacturing procedures, quality system requirements, and verbal instructions.
What You'll Do
- Follow company procedures and policies including conduct, dress code, good manufacturing practices, cleaning, safety, and documentation.
- Identify and report work safety-related conditions.
- Perform and ensure station clearance practices according to the established frequency.
- Ensure that the material used upon starting work is appropriate according to the production record.
- Meet production, quality, punctuality, and commitment expectations for the company and the work area.
- Properly manage non-conforming/waste material (Scrap).
- Ensure documentation integrity by following best documentation practices, including software tools used.
- Ensure required 5S practices to maintain the station in order and good condition.
- Acquire and maintain the technical knowledge and skills necessary to operate effectively in at least 2 manufacturing procedures.
- Train operators in manufacturing production processes.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements, and demonstrate ethics and integrity.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- General Basic Education (Primary school).
- Zero (0) to one (1) year of experience in manufacturing or production.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, supervisors, engineers, and management personnel.
- Knowledge of basic measurement techniques, including scales, rulers, and metric measures.
- Ability to perform assembly work on small parts using a microscope, vision system, and/or related automated equipment, preferably for medical devices.
- Good knowledge of the Spanish language: reads and writes.
Nice to Have
- Basic handling of computer tools, with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- One (1) year of experience in manufacturing, preferably Medical Industry.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse workforce.
Team & Environment
You will work under the close supervision of a line leader and/or supervisors as part of our manufacturing operations team.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at our facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
