Terumo Neuro is looking for an Assembler to join our production team in Alajuela, Costa Rica. In this role, you will assemble and sub-assemble critical medical devices, working directly under the supervision of line leaders to ensure adherence to strict manufacturing and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Follow company procedures and policies for conduct, safety, good manufacturing practices, and documentation.
- Identify and report any safety-related conditions in the work environment.
- Perform station clearance practices according to the established schedule.
- Verify all materials used at the start of work are correct per the production record.
- Meet expectations for production output, quality, punctuality, and commitment to overtime.
- Properly manage non-conforming or waste material (Scrap).
- Ensure the integrity of all documentation by following best practices, including for any software tools.
- Adhere to required 5S practices to keep your station in order and good condition.
- Acquire and maintain the technical knowledge to effectively operate at least 2 manufacturing procedures.
- Train other operators in manufacturing production processes.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes, and demonstrate ethics and integrity in all matters.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- General Basic Education (Primary school).
- Between 0 and 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, supervisors, engineers, and management.
- Knowledge of basic measurement techniques using scales, rulers, and metric measurements.
- Ability to perform assembly work on small parts using a microscope, vision system, or related automated equipment; medical device experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the Spanish language, both reading and writing.
Nice to Have
- Basic computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- One (1) year of manufacturing experience, preferably in the Medical Industry.
- Ability to work effectively within a culturally diverse workforce.
Team & Environment
You will work under the close supervision of line leaders and/or supervisors as part of our manufacturing team.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at our facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
