Asplundh Engineering Services, LLC is looking for a Senior Substation Engineer Lead to serve as a key technical and client-facing leader for our Southeast region. You will guide substation project execution, ensure design quality, and support our collaborative approach to tackling complex challenges with our utility customers.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the Technical Lead for various client projects.
  • Act as the primary client-facing point of contact for substation engineering initiatives.
  • Execute projects with support from dedicated engineering teams.
  • Assist the Project Management Office with technical responses to RFPs and building engineering estimates.
  • Support Business Development activities with PHI engineers and managers.
  • Serve as a Technical/Engineering Resource for other utility projects.
  • Provide direction and guidance for substation project designs.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) reviews.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Substation design experience in Physical and/or Protection & Controls.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control of substation design projects.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing project requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.

Work Mode

This position serves clients in the Southeast US, with a preference for candidates located in the DC/Baltimore and Philadelphia areas.
