About the Role

GE HealthCare is hiring an Area Service Leader to implement service strategy for the Appleton/Neenah, WI area. This role drives business objectives by leading technical teams, serving as the primary customer service contact, and developing relationships to improve customer outcomes, market share, and profitability.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the single point of contact for customer service concerns across a wide variety of support services in your assigned region.
  • Provide ongoing technical and business support to customers within your designated geographic area.
  • Be responsible for departmental operations planning and execution, including all resources and logistics for services performed on customer sites.
  • Manage all types of maintenance service, maintenance facilities, and field services engineering activities.
  • Utilize in-depth technical knowledge and analytical thinking to execute policy and strategy.
  • Propose solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated processes.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks.
  • Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.
  • Function with some autonomy while being guided by established policies, modifying procedures as needed to meet quality, volume, and timeliness standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college, or military education program OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience servicing biomedical equipment.
  • Five years or more of experience in Biomedical Technology and/or Imaging Leadership.
  • Previous experience servicing Biomedical Technology.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or Master’s degree and previous field sales or field service experience.
  • Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams.
  • Direct customer relationship experience.
  • Strong business acumen.

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change through exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated tendency to challenge the status quo and drive constant improvement.
  • Understanding of customer/marketplace drivers that influence behavior.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues within your functional area and develop multiple priorities to meet objectives.

Team & Environment

You will lead and coach a mix of technical teams that may consist of Biomedical Technicians, Field Engineers, and/or Program Coordinators. This role partners with the Market Service Director in the market.

This position is hybrid and based in the Appleton/Neenah, WI area.
