Intertek is hiring a Freelance Completions Inspector to verify the integrity, quality, and compliance of all equipment and procedures during the well completion phase. This role is critical for ensuring operations adhere to engineering specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Inspect and verify all well completion tools and equipment prior to delivery and installation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and client-specific requirements.
- Witness function tests, pressure tests, and QA/QC checks of completion assemblies.
- Review and verify documentation such as equipment certification and QA records.
- Monitor onsite completion activities to ensure quality procedures are followed.
- Identify and report any defects, damages, or non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
- Interface with service providers, tool manufacturers, and completions engineers to ensure readiness.
- Assist in verifying installation and pulling procedures during upper and lower completions.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain proper documentation and traceability.
- Support the safe execution of operations by ensuring all HSE policies and standards are met.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in well completions, QA/QC, or field inspection roles.
- Solid knowledge of lower and upper completion tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with offshore and/or onshore well environments, rig operations, and service company procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Familiarity with completions programs, QA documentation, and technical standards.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Effective communication and report writing capabilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and digital inspection/reporting systems.
Nice to Have
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or a related Engineering field.
- API Q1/Q2, DS-1, or other QA/QC certifications.
- Relevant tool-specific or service provider certifications.
