About the Role

Brenntag North America, Inc. is hiring an Area Sales Manager to shape and execute strategic account plans within the pharmaceutical sector. In this role, you will drive sales growth, identify new business opportunities, and ensure exceptional service for key clients.

What You'll Do

  • Define and implement strategic pharma account plans to achieve sales targets, foster account growth, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess needs and provide solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Perform technical selling by understanding customer needs, reviewing their product pipeline, and proposing the appropriate product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, business development, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery and a strong customer experience.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to provide client feedback and insights for new product development.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Technologies, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical & Nutraceuticals industries.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify challenges and drive business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills for complex customer relationships.
  • The ability to adapt and develop solutions based on customer needs with clear communication.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Salesforce CRM software and relevant tools.
  • High competency working with Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to travel to visit customers as needed.
  • A self-motivated, disciplined approach with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Nice to Have

  • A technical background with experience in designing and developing optimal pharmaceutical formulations.
  • Certification or training in sales, account management, or customer relationship management.
  • Fluency in any Southeast Asian (SEA) language.
