SRS Distribution Inc. is hiring an Area Credit Manager to protect and collect the company's accounts receivable portfolio in the MidWest region. This role, which serves as direct training for a Regional Credit Manager (RCM) position, is central to maintaining financial health through active portfolio management.
What You'll Do
- Make collection calls on accounts receivable (AR).
- Evaluate and release orders from ticket hold.
- Maintain detailed notes in the company computer system on accounts.
- Process and approve credit applications and learn to establish credit lines within your authority level.
- Process and approve job accounts within your authority level.
- Review significant decisions with the Regional Credit Manager (RCM) as needed.
- Communicate proactively with the Sales team and credit team.
- Track and reconcile deductions.
- Handle lien waivers and review joint checks.
- Enforce company credit policy consistently.
- Guide and educate the sales team and customers on credit processes.
- Monitor deadlines for Notices, mechanics liens, and bond claims; send as needed with RCM approval.
- Participate in credit team meetings and key performance indicator reviews.
- Work closely with the RCM and support 15 or more branches.
- Handle other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of people, positions, and situations.
- Good working knowledge of Notices, mechanics liens, payment bonds, and bond claims.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently multi-task and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and decisive decision-making skills.
- Ability to 'think different', speak your mind, and handle conflict or confrontation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress and stressful situations.
Nice to Have
- Credit/collection experience is preferred.
Team & Environment
This role reports to the Regional Credit Manager (RCM) and/or Director of Credit.

- Compensation: $76,000.00 to $98,800.00 Annually.
