Sanofi/Genzyme Corporation is seeking an Area Business Manager for Virginia. In this role, you will engage Dermatologists and key customers within your assigned territory to present clinically focused selling messages and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for consistently delivering product goals and driving performance in a compliant manner with a high degree of integrity.
What You'll Do
- Engage Dermatology customers in your territory to deliver clinically focused messages that introduce, launch, and grow brand-share and revenue.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other field-based stakeholders such as Regeneron Sales counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, and Field Access Specialists to address customer needs and develop strategies.
- Develop strong working relationships with Dermatology specialists, office staff, biologic coordinators, and patient advocacy groups.
- Identify key opportunities and develop strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize your territory budget to support strategies and generate business growth.
- Participate in and help lead initiatives to support sales success, such as industry congresses and medical conferences.
- Own business opportunities within your geographic area, coordinating and calling upon large group practices and key targets.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders to drive industry-leading customer value.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
- Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as necessary.
- Proven success and a positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Ability to operate as a “team player” in cooperation with collaboration partners and internal colleagues.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Nice to Have
- 2 years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable or office-administered IV biologics.
- 2 years selling experience in atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, or other chronic skin disorders.
- 2 years selling experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Co-promotion experience.
- Advanced clinically-based selling skills.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches.
- Experience with in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- A passion and learning aptitude for science, proactively strengthening knowledge related to disease-state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.

You will collaborate with other key field-based stakeholders such as Regeneron Sales Professional counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Access Specialists, Market Access teammates, and Thought Leader Liaisons to ensure account success.
