Delek US Holdings, Inc. was looking for an Area Business Manager

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is looking for an Area Business Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of assigned processing area(s), logistics, and utilities. You will ensure reliable and cost-effective operations to optimize refinery production goals while providing leadership, motivation, and development for the workforce.

What You'll Do

  • Be accountable for safe, compliant, and sustained economically viable refining operations, both short and long-term.
  • Own asset stewardship with a heavy focus on operational excellence and the health of all management system workstreams.
  • Provide an escalation path for the shift team and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Area Business Team to meet production goals.
  • Lead the team through short- and long-term threat resolution.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant operation by enforcing Company standards and legal regulations.
  • Ensure effective incident investigations and preventative actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Apply collective bargaining agreements effectively and consistently.
  • Monitor area KPIs and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Accomplish goals while maintaining employee accountability, positive morale, engagement, and teamwork.
  • Drive the business team to identify and present quality alternatives for sound, timely decisions.
  • Provide Planning Premises for Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Business Planning cycles.
  • Manage spend and achieve area budget targets.
  • Act as contract owner for Area contracts.

What We're Looking For

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or chemical role.
  • The physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including climbing stairs and ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • The ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection, and a respirator.
  • The ability to work a rotating shift schedule, holidays, and overtime as required.
