Paramount is looking for a freelance Archives Digitizer to preserve and digitize archival content. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for operating the SAMMA automated ingest system to transfer physical media into digital files for cloud storage.
What You'll Do
- Digitize archival content using the SAMMA automated ingest system.
- Pull, clean, and prepare physical cassette tapes for processing.
- Confirm digitization requirements and apply new barcodes to tapes.
- Scan barcodes into the ingest system and monitor digitization progress.
- Confirm file integrity and move them to an automatic watch folder for cloud transfer.
- Perform quality control (QC) of digitized material using an auto QC tool.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to handle and operate 3 robots.
- Ability to work evening, overnight shifts, and weekends.
- Proficiency with the MS Office software suite.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of videotape formats, file formats, and video signals.
