Welocalize is looking for a freelance Arabic (Egyptian) Culture and Language Expert. In this remote role, you will apply your deep, native-level understanding of Egyptian Arabic and its cultural context to a variety of projects.

What You'll Do

Provide expert linguistic and cultural analysis for content targeting Egyptian Arabic speakers.
Ensure cultural appropriateness, relevance, and nuance in localized materials.
Consult on regional dialects, idioms, and social norms within the broader Arab world.
Deliver clear, actionable feedback and recommendations to project teams.

What We're Looking For

Native-level proficiency in Egyptian Arabic language and deep familiarity with its cultural norms.
Professional experience in a language-focused role such as translation, localization, or cultural consulting.
Ability to articulate cultural subtleties and linguistic nuances to a non-expert audience.
Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach.

Work Mode

This is a fully remote, freelance position. Candidates should be based in or have extensive, current experience in the primary markets of Cairo, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or Dubai, UAE.
