Welocalize is looking for a freelance Arabic (Egyptian) Culture and Language Expert. In this remote role, you will apply your deep, native-level understanding of Egyptian Arabic and its cultural context to a variety of projects.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert linguistic and cultural analysis for content targeting Egyptian Arabic speakers.
- Ensure cultural appropriateness, relevance, and nuance in localized materials.
- Consult on regional dialects, idioms, and social norms within the broader Arab world.
- Deliver clear, actionable feedback and recommendations to project teams.
What We're Looking For
- Native-level proficiency in Egyptian Arabic language and deep familiarity with its cultural norms.
- Professional experience in a language-focused role such as translation, localization, or cultural consulting.
- Ability to articulate cultural subtleties and linguistic nuances to a non-expert audience.
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote, freelance position. Candidates should be based in or have extensive, current experience in the primary markets of Cairo, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or Dubai, UAE.
