The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Appointment Business Center Scheduler III (Access Coordinator III) to join our team. This role is crucial for supporting patient care and ensuring smooth organizational operations by coordinating patient access through our call center.
What You'll Do
- Schedule, reschedule, coordinate, and cancel patient appointments.
- Input and update accurate patient information.
- Answer telephones professionally and demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Communicate complete and accurate information to patients and staff.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Handle conflicts professionally using careful listening and service recovery skills.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in registration, billing, or scheduling within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Intermediate proficiency with computers (MS Office Suite preferred).
- Basic keyboard and telephone etiquette skills.
- General knowledge of office machines, including printers and scanners.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with the EPIC system.
- Call center experience.
