Sartorius is seeking a remote-based Field Application Specialist focused on our Bioreactor Technology products, including the Ambr portfolio. In this role, you will provide overall product expertise, application knowledge, and technical support to ensure the successful application and use of our systems by customers, directly supporting sales objectives in the NJ/PA area.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with account management for customer discussions through product presentations, demonstrations, and application studies.
- Lead customer evaluations, analyze user requirements, and provide technical responses to help position products.
- Strategize with Account Managers to generate value-adding activities aligned with customer and business needs.
- Provide technical qualification of sales opportunities to ensure appropriate technology positioning.
- Deliver proactive technical support, answer inquiries, and resolve implementation problems in the field.
- Support new product introductions through beta site testing, demonstrations, and information gathering.
- Support the Quality Department in complaint resolution by troubleshooting and analyzing customer processes.
- Train customers on new technologies and support initial start-up operations.
- Support regional marketing initiatives and report on competitor activity within the territory.
- Interface with various levels of management and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in biological/life sciences and/or engineering.
- 2+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience in Upstream Bioprocess development and/or MSAT.
- Product and application expertise in bioreactors, supporting technologies, and multi-parallel bioreactors (Ambr).
- Hands-on experience with key USP applications, including bioreactor scale-up and scale-down.
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated team player with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Nice to Have
- Process development and/or characterization experience.
- cGMP experience and automation knowledge.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Statistics.
