Pulse Advertising GmbH is hiring an Application Engineer to take ownership of the EFSS (Electronic Flight Strip System), a mission-critical application used 24/7 in air traffic operations. You will join our Tower & Airport Systems division to maintain compliance with stringent EU aviation standards and provide hands-on engineering support in a regulated, safety-critical environment.
What You'll Do
- Work hands-on with the EFSS application in close collaboration with the Application Owner.
- Maintain and update system requirements and specifications in compliance with EU aviation standards.
- Produce quality assurance, compliance, and testing documentation for a regulated environment.
- Provide engineering support to investigate and resolve operational incidents in a 24/7 context.
- Test, integrate, and validate application deliveries from suppliers, including validation with Air Traffic Controllers.
- Monitor the evolution of the customer’s IT architecture and ensure system compatibility.
- Set up and maintain various environments, including development, testing, and operational.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives by improving existing tools and scripts.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree in IT, Telecommunications, Aeronautics, or an equivalent field.
- Proven experience managing industrial or mission-critical applications with strong compliance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Solid knowledge of requirements and test engineering in regulated environments.
- Strong experience with Linux (Red Hat 7+), scripting, and a solid understanding of networking and IP protocols.
- Familiarity with virtualized infrastructures and a basic understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive, constructive, and agile mindset, capable of growing towards autonomy.
- Languages: English fluent (C1).
