Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK) is hiring an Application Development Manager to lead the implementation and support of critical banking applications. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from system design to deployment, ensuring deliverables meet high standards of quality and timeliness.

What You'll Do

Lead, manage, and implement IT projects to ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables.
Own system design, development, and support for banking application systems.
Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, status meetings, and escalations.
Collaborate closely with users and vendors for requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, implementation, and testing.
Identify project dependencies and potential risks, taking measures to resolve issues and mitigate impacts.
Manage change control throughout the project lifecycle.
Troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, and liaise with developers to resolve technical issues.
Coordinate effectively with internal and external parties for system integration design.

What We're Looking For

A degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on application development experience.
2+ years of solid project management experience.
3+ years of experience in cloud development, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or private cloud.
Familiarity with cloud-native application development and microservices architecture.
Sound knowledge in some of the following: Linux, Java, Node.js, Database design, NoSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Apache web server, IBM WebSphere, IBM RAD, IBM Rational ClearCase, Jenkins, Docker, Spring, GitLab, Maven.
Strong presentation, negotiation, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with a willingness to learn.
Self-motivated and adaptive to change.
Proficiency in both Chinese and English.

Nice to Have

Experience with blockchain or digital currency.
A proven track record of designing, running, and managing sizable banking projects.
Mandarin language proficiency.
Leadership and experience in managing remote development teams.
