Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (MPS) is looking for an AOI Equipment Engineer to systematically manage our AOI systems to achieve strong machine performance and production yield. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving yield improvements and supporting new product introductions within MPS’s innovative and sustainability-focused culture.
What You'll Do
- Work with AOI vendors to develop customized AOI handlers and kits.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and AOI vendors to define new AOI test items and algorithms.
- Create and manage AOI recipes for new products systematically.
- Dispose of held lots, analyze production AOI yield loss, and take actions to improve yield.
- Reduce invalid AOI yield loss through hardware upgrades, specification updates, or AOI algorithm optimization.
- Lead a team to collect and analyze issue data, design experiments for verification, and develop solutions.
- Maintain the AOI management system, including data uploading, collecting, analyzing, and recipe documentation/synchronization.
- Perform AOI troubleshooting, conversion, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage turnkey house AOI activities, including inspection implementation and yield monitoring.
- Investigate customer returns.
- Summarize AOI maintenance experience and prepare training presentations.
- Survey the market for new AOI solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, computing, and optical imaging concepts.
- Working experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically with AOI operation and maintenance.
- Project management or process management experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Visual Studio.
