Inventive Food Technology (IFF) is hiring an Animal Nutrition Key Account Manager to serve as a trusted business partner to large customers in the Animal Nutrition & Health sector. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue by creating and executing strategic account plans to position IFF as a strategic partner and achieve profitable sales growth.
What You'll Do
- Create, present, and execute a regional strategic account plan aligned with global business objectives.
- Achieve profitable sales growth targets by winning new business and maintaining current sales.
- Deeply understand customer strategy, organization, and brands.
- Leverage IFF’s strategy, capabilities, technologies, and product offerings in the US and Canada.
- Actively investigate customer needs with the technical team to create growth projects.
- Position IFF as a strategic trusted partner by co-creating winning value propositions.
- Act as lead contact for customer’s business in the region, developing deep customer relationships.
- Work closely with Sales & Technical Managers and engage all IFF Animal Health & Nutrition personnel.
- Lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams through complex, technically challenging projects.
- Maintain the project pipeline and all information related to projects, opportunities, and sales forecasting.
- Be accountable for all communications between the customer and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and create new business opportunities and drive projects across Commercial, Technical, and Marketing teams.
- Lead & coordinate IFF teams to develop and execute plans to generate project pipeline and new sales.
- Negotiate and manage customer contracts.
- Be accountable for accurate regional sales forecast and budget.
- Prepare executive sales reports and new business activity for IFF management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Business, Animal Science, or another relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of successful sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and presentation skills.
- Proven account and business planning, sales/networking, execution, and follow-through abilities.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business opportunities into sales.
- IT acumen and ability to leverage big data points to enhance regional strategic account plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer focus; proactive; collaborative; self-motivated and results driven.
- Knowledgeable of industry trends, companies, technology, and displays passion for animal nutrition and health.
- Confident, self-motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional.
- Ability to cultivate deep customer relationships and generate trust by delivering on commitments.
- Ability to manage complex customer networks.
- Ability to interact and work with diverse and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to travel 40-60% of the time within the US.
Nice to Have
- Experience in micro ingredient, animal nutrition and health, ruminant sales, or a related industry.
