Aios Medical is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to take full ownership of our data infrastructure. You will build reliable pipelines, make data accessible across the organization, and establish the foundations for a future centralized data team, starting within the engineering function.
What You'll Do
- Take full ownership of our data stack, building reliable pipelines and making data accessible across all teams.
- Rebuild pipelines, build ETL jobs syncing sources to the data warehouse, set up dbt transformations, and ensure smooth operations.
- Make high-impact decisions on tooling, sync frequency, and error handling.
- Help define how we measure our business across the full customer journey, from pre-conversion (e.g., CAC, CPL) to post-conversion (e.g., time to medication).
- Build systems and logic to track key metrics, making data both accessible and meaningful.
- Be the go-to person for all things data at Aios, fixing what's broken and building what's missing.
- Own the flow of data from 20+ sources into Redshift, reducing manual checks and fixing failure points.
- Spend significant time on data engineering fundamentals: warehouse architecture, dbt transformation logic, and pipeline tooling.
- Support both Growth analytics (e.g., CAC, CPL, funnel metrics) and Product/Ops analytics (e.g., time to medication, delivery times).
- Become a key strategic decision-maker on data across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years working with data, with at least 3+ years focused on data engineering.
- Experience owning pipelines, warehouses, and reporting in fast-moving environments.
- Have built and maintained data pipelines syncing from multiple sources into a central warehouse like Redshift.
- Set up syncing logic and error handling; you know what breaks and how to fix it.
- Can write and debug complex SQL queries, optimize for performance, work with large datasets, and build reusable data models.
- Understand what the business is trying to measure and can break metrics like CAC or time to medication into required data points.
- Don't need someone to tell you what to build; you'll figure out what matters and how to track it.
- Experience working as a solo operator or early hire, prioritizing and moving fast without waiting on others.
- Have managed a team before and are excited to grow a team as the function scales.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting teams measuring CAC, CPL, funnel stages, or other acquisition metrics.
- Worked with operational metrics in healthcare or similar industries (e.g., fulfillment speed, delivery time).
- Used analytics tools like Metabase or similar to help teams explore data and visualize results.
- Worked with customer data platforms like Rudderstack, understanding event tracking and integrations.
- The kind of person who digs until things work, debugging failing syncs and validating weird numbers.
Technical Stack
- Redshift, dbt, ETL, SQL, Metabase, Rudderstack
Team & Environment
You will start within the engineering team, building the foundation for a future centralized data team, and will report to Gzim, the Head of Engineering.
