Medline Industries, LP is seeking an Analyst Prime Vendor to analyze business trends and results, identifying key opportunities for our customers and sales organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with internal and external partners to drive results tied to defined distribution metrics and reporting requirements.
What You'll Do
- Create, maintain, and develop relationships with the customer, sales teams, and vendor community.
- Lead and participate in various meetings on behalf of the customer, such as value analysis committees.
- Meet with vendors to discuss products, pricing, and terms.
- Present findings to key contacts in the customer’s procurement team.
- Measure the trends, efficiencies, and effectiveness of overall pricing and inventory KPIs.
- Support the sales team by managing contract terms, assisting with brand conversions, and tracking all savings and projects.
- Make presentations regarding project updates, business results, and committee findings.
- Review pricing to determine and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure new pricing rules are reviewed and approved by respective sales teams.
- Provide issue resolution in areas such as inventory surplus, backorders, and outstanding invoices.
- Initiate and partner with internal teams and communicate resolution in a timely manner.
- Host weekly meetings with supply chain, materials services, and Medline Sales teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, IS, and Finance to develop, create, and maintain reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience in sales analysis and support OR a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience in sales analysis and support.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within, and external to, an organization.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g., using SUM function, setting borders, inserting charts, sorting).
- Willingness to travel for business related needs such as training, accounts meetings, and development.
Nice to Have
- Previous analytics experience in the healthcare industry.
- Previous inventory or supply chain analytics experience.
- Experience providing training and developing process documentation or user manuals.
