Sikich is hiring an Analyst for its Investment Banking team. In this role, you will support and participate in the full range of M&A advisory, restructuring, and financing transactions for corporate and private equity clients.
What You'll Do
- Conduct industry and company research and analysis
- Assist in drafting investment memoranda, business cases, strategic alternatives analyses, and investment opportunity assessments
- Prepare simple financial models and perform detailed financial analysis
- Identify acquisition, divestiture, and capital-raising targets for corporate and private equity clients
- Participate in outreach campaigns, as appropriate
- Perform financial valuation, including discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses
- Prepare presentation and pitch materials
- Support due diligence investigations of target and client companies
- Update CRM tools for active engagements with information on NDA status, CIM, prospect/buyer feedback, etc.
- Monitor developments in relevant market sectors and initiate ideas for value add to clients
- Demonstrate commitment to providing high quality and high value materials and insights
- Perform other tasks as requested by senior team members
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration and MIS, or related degree
- 1-2 years’ work history within the investment banking, Transaction Advisory Services (CPA) or strategic consulting industries
- Entrepreneurial attitude and strong written, oral and presentation communication skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail and manage multiple ongoing client engagements
- Strong qualitative and quantitative valuation/analytical skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytic ability
