Chubb is looking for an Agribusiness Underwriter to manage a portfolio of agribusiness insurance policies. In this role, you will evaluate risk, build relationships with agents, and support the underwriting process to ensure profitable business growth.
What You'll Do
- Review new risk submissions, renewals, and endorsement requests within assigned authority and underwriting guidelines.
- Obtain additional information and analyze all pertinent data to determine risk acceptability.
- Review endorsements on existing policies to identify any changes in coverage or amounts.
- Communicate with producers to develop agent/underwriter relationships.
- Assist in training underwriting personnel as needed.
- Encourage submission of targeted business and maintain liaisons with agents to obtain necessary underwriting information.
- Make referrals to a Senior Underwriter when necessary.
- Perform special projects and other job duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- At least 6 months as an Underwriting Technician at Rain and Hail Agribusiness Division.
- OR at least 1-3 years of Property and Casualty insurance experience.
- OR a baccalaureate degree.
