About the Role
The position involves conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, diagnosing mechanical issues, and ensuring all work meets regulatory standards and operational safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on aircraft systems and components
- Inspect engines, landing gear, avionics, and structural elements for wear or damage
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using technical manuals and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and internal quality standards
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to verify aircraft readiness
- Support ground operations and assist in aircraft movement when required
- Follow safety protocols during maintenance and repair procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues
- Install modifications and upgrades as directed by service bulletins
- Use hand tools, precision instruments, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Participate in audits and safety reviews as part of quality assurance
- Respond to mechanical discrepancies reported by flight crews
- Ensure tools and workspaces are maintained and accounted for
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies
- Work under time constraints to minimize aircraft downtime
- Support certification processes for repaired or modified systems
- Stay current with changes in aviation regulations and technology
- Assist in training junior technicians when needed
- Maintain currency in required certifications and training programs
- Coordinate with parts and logistics teams for component availability
- Follow proper documentation procedures for work orders and logs
- Operate test equipment to validate system performance after repairs
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all operational matters

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb on and into aircraft structures
- Frequent bending, climbing, and working at heights

- Standing and working in awkward positions for extended periods
Security Clearance
- Must pass a background investigation for airfield access
- Adherence to company and regulatory security policies is mandatory
