About the Role

Hydro-Québec is looking for an Advisor – Business Processes and Practices to play a key role in democratizing secure data access through metadata management and an enterprise data catalog. You will guide business process development, coordinate re-engineering efforts, and support technological transformations as part of our mission to accelerate the energy transition.

What You'll Do

  • Propose guiding principles from business strategy to develop business processes for the vice-presidency or main directorate.
  • Coordinate the re-engineering of various business processes for the vice-presidency or main directorate.
  • Analyze and identify impacts on staff tasks and work organization within units.
  • Ensure coherence and integration of business processes during their development and/or updates.
  • Support the implementation of new information technologies, particularly regarding business process revision and system parameterization.
  • Lead large-scale projects requiring coordination of multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate activities enabling the unit to achieve its business objectives.
  • Support change management, training, and communication teams.
  • Coordinate working groups.
  • Act as spokesperson and expert in the field.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to new business processes.

What We're Looking For

  • A first-cycle university degree (Bachelor's) in administration, marketing, or another relevant field.
  • A minimum of 6 to 9 years of experience in an advisor/analyst role in governance, risk, compliance, processes, or in technological projects with a strong transformational component.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and operate a governance framework (frameworks, processes, committees, controls, indicators) in a technological/data/AI context.
  • Very good knowledge of workshop facilitation techniques and coordination of stakeholders from multiple units.
  • Good knowledge of process mapping (Miro, Visio) to analyze, simplify, standardize, and improve business processes.
  • Good knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate and prioritize business needs into detailed requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, rules, controls) and follow through to delivery.
  • Knowledge of key AI lifecycle concepts (data, training/validation, deployment, monitoring) and related issues: bias/fairness, explainability, robustness, security, data quality, traceability.
  • Knowledge of reference frameworks: EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, OECD principles, Canadian guidance on generative AI, privacy best practices (e.g., CNIL), and internal reference materials.
  • Mastery of the following behavioral competencies: Negotiation and conflict management; Professional ethics, rigor, concern for quality, safety, and sustainable development; Recommendation and decision-making.
  • Appropriate knowledge of the French language for the function.

Team & Environment

You will join a multidisciplinary team as part of the Data Access and Self-Service Portal team within the Data and Artificial Intelligence directorate, reporting to the Data and Artificial Intelligence directorate.
