Responsibilities
- Enhance the reliability, integrity, and performance of fixed mechanical assets such as pressure vessels, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, and other static equipment.
- Prevent equipment failures, reduce unplanned downtime, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations according to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop predictive and preventative maintenance plans.
- Standardize technology across the organization.
- Create and deliver training to improve the technical skills of the unit team.
- Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers and unit teams on equipment specification and selection for new assets.
- Network with peers at other sites and across the industry to identify and implement best practices for technology and reliability programs.
- Lead and provide direction for technical directives related to mechanical integrity.
- Advise maintenance and reliability teams on problem identification, resolution, and related preventative and predictive maintenance issues.
- Maintain required regulatory equipment records, evaluate failure modes, and develop gap plans and resolutions to improve reliability.
- Approve new designs for reliability and approve management of change reliability modifications.
- Participate in and develop root cause analyses.
- Conduct routine field equipment inspections to support the core team and proactively identify emerging issues.
- Provide recommendations to resolve emerging issues as part of the bad actor process.
