About the Role

The Oregon Department of Human Services is hiring an Adult Foster Home Licensor (Compliance Specialist 2) for its Aging and People with Disabilities team. In this role, you will ensure program requirements are met to qualify new and retain existing Adult Foster Home providers.

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate financial, health, and other documents for new license applications and yearly renewals.
  • Determine compliance with administrative rules and policies during on-site inspections of prospective homes for safety and suitability.
  • Assess provider and facility compliance through document review and oral exams.
  • Review financial records and bank statements to determine if financial qualifications are met.
  • Conduct periodic on-site monitoring and oversight to evaluate ongoing compliance.
  • Perform unscheduled on-site monitoring visits to ensure corrections are made.
  • Provide technical assistance and coaching, both verbally and in writing, regarding program and rule requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Four years of experience doing administrative research that includes compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations. Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.

  • Salary: $4,833 - $7,407 per month.
