This role supports the effective operation of academic programs by handling a range of administrative responsibilities. Working under close supervision, the coordinator ensures day-to-day tasks are completed accurately and on time, contributing to the overall efficiency of departmental functions.
What You'll Do
- Handle student inquiries and resolve issues related to course enrollment, degree requirements, and academic policies
- Coordinate course scheduling and maintain syllabi, exams, and evaluations in alignment with academic calendars
- Support student services by processing tuition waivers, course permits, and graduation eligibility checks
- Assist with event planning for workshops, symposiums, and outreach activities, including room bookings and travel arrangements
- Manage confidential academic and financial records, ensuring compliance with institutional standards
- Facilitate communication between faculty, staff, and external partners on program-related matters
- Support grant-related activities, including proposal preparation, budget tracking, and financial documentation
- Process hiring paperwork for student and staff positions and manage supply procurement
- Provide administrative support for accreditation efforts, data reporting, and teaching assistant coordination
- Respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders while maintaining discretion and accuracy
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience in an administrative or office support role
- Familiarity with university operations, academic structures, and degree requirements
- Proficiency with office software, scheduling tools, and data management systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective communication abilities for interacting with students, faculty, and staff
- Problem-solving aptitude with a focus on timely resolution and customer service
- Ability to maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
- Skill in building collaborative relationships across departments
